Exhibit in NYC was wonderful but the catalogue is beautifully researched, very complete and a needed reference book for anyone who loves architecture.. Probably a bit sparten of ideas to inspire me, but perhaps as a simple form of using clear containers.. The only problem is its size, which prevents you bringing it around to show off the beatiful pictures in it. I appreciate having museum, inn and eating suggestions for each town. Will do business with you again, book arrived on time.Thanks.. This is a wonderful book! It looks like a picture book - lovely, lovely photos of people and textiles in the places discussed in the book, but that's deceptive. I found myself reading some portions and browsing through the photographs of others. It's different than many travel books because of the passion and personalities of the writers reflected in each discussion. If you have a chance to spend some time with this book it will be time well spent.. Thank you for this important book!. Some of the most precious items selected for the exhibition eventually were not able to make it to the United States, nontheless they are included in the book(now you get a chance to see them on the paper.) The authors cleverly extended a study of visual artifacts to a colorful (though not complete) portraiture of the cultural evolution in China.
